The 2022 Become a Vet Camp Contest is Over. Thanks to Everyone Who Entered.

The 2022 Become a Veterinary Camp contest starts today! Thanks to the support of Merck Animal Health and VCA Animal Hospitals, three lucky aspiring veterinarians will win scholarships to Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine’s Jr. Vet Camp. The Jr. Vet Camp will be held from June 26 – July 1, 2022 in Auburn, Alabama.

The Auburn Jr. Vet Camp is one of the premier veterinary camps in the world.

The Auburn Jr. Vet Camp is one of the premier veterinary camps in the world. You’ll get hands on experience with animals like beagles, horses, goats, snakes, dairy cattle, and llamas. You’ll also spend your time at the veterinary college with veterinary students as your guides exploring everything from parasitology to pathology. There is no better way to explore your dream of becoming an animal doctor.

To enter you must be a rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade student in the Fall of 2022 and tell us your story in 300 words or less. We want to know:

• Why you want to be a veterinarian
• Why you love animals
• What you have done to get animal experience or learn more about science

Then find a photo with you and your favorite pet or performing your favorite volunteer activity. Give your essay and your photo to a parent to enter you in the contest here. Important – Only parents can enter their future veterinarians in this contest. SEE OFFICIAL RULES.
