Community Animal Rescue Effort - C.A.R.E.

C.A.R.E. is a more structured and strict shelter than others I’ve worked at, I enjoyed this because I felt that all the tasks I did were productive. Unlike some other shelters, I felt I was more throughly trained in the tasks I was expected to complete. My main tasks were walking and feeding dogs, and cleaning cages. I spent a little time training dogs, and occasionally I would help with minor medical treatment (applying cream, etc.). There were many dogs with disabilities which I found interesting. This shelter accepts high school volunteers.
