Laid back shelter. The other volunteers are nice for the most part. Make sure to ask questions if you are new because other volunteers don’t always know your level of experience, however they are happy to teach you. I learned how to pick up and handle ferrets here, and I even got to hand feed a few sick ferrets! They have a vet that comes in occasionally if you are interested, but it’s a little hard to get information on when she is coming in. My biggest issue is that scheduling is a bit hard, because if you are a new volunteer they pair you with a seasoned volunteer, and it can be difficult to find someone to overlap schedules with. They also accept high school volunteers.
