American Heritage Animal Hospital is proud to be a part of the “Explorer” program. Exploring is a worksite-based program of Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old.
This program allows young adults to get hands on experience by shadowing professionals in their field of interest. Individuals can join this program and then come and shadow at our clinic. During shadowing times, explorers will be able to observe Dr. Cat and learn about all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. In some cases, explorers can even assist with basic treatments, animal care and handling.
