When my parents told use we were for sure moving from Southern California to Wyoming, from a city of over half a million people to a state with about the same population, I had no idea what to expect. Now we've been here for a year and a half, and I cannot imagine living any where else. One of the most incredible aspects has been getting to know farm animals. Our neighbor's 4 horses graze in our pasture, and we can go hang out with them any time. What incredible, large creatures they are! And we just bought 22 baby chicks, and are learning how to care for them in every way. Even the care of our dogs has changed, as we have to think about thorns in their paws and the weather conditions. Learning to take care of animals has me wondering if being a veterinarian is in my future!
