Emily's story

Hello. My name is Emily I'm am currently in grade ten and attending at the school Agassiz Elementry Secondary School. I found this add on Instagram, so I did some Reasearch about it and read more about it on a few websites and I found it really interesting. My goal after high school is to head off to Olds Alberta collage in Canada to study to be a Veterinarian Technician and eventually work up to be a full vet. I will also like to take some other courses while I am attending their perhaps Animal Health Technology. I am currently working at a small Veterinarian Clinic in Agassiz B.C. It is a great job I clean, put together surgical kits, help out with the animals and many more tasks. I applied for that job because I believed it would be a good idea to get a feel for being around the veterinarian environment, to see if I liked it or if I could do it before I went off to school. I have always had a strong love for animals as I have been around animals for my whole life. I currently have 2 dogs an English Mastif and a St. Bernard I also have lots of chickens, 1 turkey and a horse. I also take care of friends and families small/large animals while they are on holidays the animals range from horses, donkeys and all the way down to dogs, cats and fish. I will hopefully contunue with becoming a vet and work through the schooling. Thank you for taking the time to read through my story, I do believe that the Vet Set Go book will help me a lot and keep me interested in becoming a veterinarian.
