Isn’t it great when you get to meet other future veterinarians and share your stories? I love going to veterinary camps and other activities and hearing all of the great things aspiring veterinarians like you are doing.

Now that the Vet Set Go website is up and live, I think its time we can start getting that “camp feel” right here. All we have to do is start sharing our experiences and stories.

It doesn’t have to be anything big. Just share simple things like:

  • What are you up to?
  • What pets do you have?
  • What type of veterinarian do you want to be?
  • How old were you when you decided you wanted to be a vet?
  • What zoo or veterinary camps have you been to?

It’s really simple to share your story on Vet Set Go. Just become a member and then click the “Submit You Story” button here in the Community Section. You can share a quick story, a photograph, or even a video you have on You Tube. Just share!

Right now, for any one who posts something on the Community section, I will send you a FREE copy of the Vet Set Go! Book as a thank you. That’s right! If your story is posted, you get a free book.

This offer can’t last forever. So post something today!

My daughter wants to become a Veterinarian.

March 30 - 09:03am

I used to live in an area that has a lot of stray cats and even though I couldn't take them all I did take one with me . He used to follow me everywhere and make sure that I got home okay so I started feeding him. Ive had animals before in whom I thought I had a connection with, but nothing compared to this. He only had one good eye so I named him Captain. well that was about 5 years ago and I'm sadden to say that my captain has passed away. I'm glad that I got to have him for the short time that I did and I'm so lucky that he touched my heart they way he did. okay I have to stop now.....

Hi, I'm Skye-Anne and I have been a animal lover ever since I was little, i was about 2 when I decided I wanted to become a vet, and now 16 years later it has never changed. I have 5 horses, a bunch of cows, 2 dogs and 2 cats and I love them all so much. I'm a horse trainer right now and I compete in show jumping event all around with my thoroughbred mare. I've wanted to be a vet my whole life for large animals and I'm scared I won't be able to get into a university school for it, fingers crossed that I make it. I want to work with animals for the rest of my life, I've always loved being with them, they make me happy and I know it's what I want.

My niece has a puppy, and sadly she became ill with the Parvo virus. The vets were able to save her, it took about 2 weeks for her to get back to get normal self, but since that day in 2011 my niece has been wanting to become a veterinarian! She vows to save animals of all species. Especially if it means to bring a very special puppy of hers. Alejandra is 12 years old, and she's ahead of her classes. I've been teaching her how to ride horses, and she can't wait to grow up so she can be a veterinarian.
