Horse Volunteering!

This photo was taken after I spent an hour braiding the meanest mare are the barn! (I did get stepped on.) I volunteered at this barn for about four months before I had to stop due to conflicting schedules with my parents and not having a ride. I would go on Tuesdays and Thursdays (homeschool volunteer days) from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm! Me and the other girls would feed, water, and muck until lunch time, and then I’d do laundry, organize tack, sweep, or do some other odd chore meanwhile they exercised horses. (I can’t ride.) My favorite volunteer experience is definitely getting to help take care of some foals in this barn’s breeding program! I unfortunately did not use the vet volunteer app, but that was just due to some complications with my phone. I do plan on using it in the future though!
