I had the opportunity to shadow st Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. It was such a cool experience. I got to see a little bit of everything. I got to see them perform a surgery on a 2 week old foal who had problems in her stifle. I also got to see a horse who had had a hole in his eye. They used part of his lower eyelid to patch the hole. Then I got to see an lameness check on a horse, and they untrasounded the hocks of the horse. It was such a fun day. It was also reassuring because I could see myself doing stuff like that for the rest of my left.
The photo is of one of the babies they had up there. I thought it was cute getting to see him sleep.
