An Update on the Become a Veterinarian Camp Contest

Apr 27, 2020 1:04PM

The Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine and the Auburn Youth Programs have canceled their onsite July 2020 Jr. Vet Camp. This is disappointing news and eliminates an exciting opportunity for aspiring veterinarians to explore their dream this year. Unfortunately, because of this decision, there will be no Grand Prize Winners for the Become a Veterinarian Camp Contest this year.

We have read each and every entry you have sent us. Once again, we are amazed at how much this year’s aspiring veterinarians love animals and all they are doing to explore their dream. To thank all the 2020 entrants and their parents for the time they took to create an entry, we are sending them an Amazon Gift Card.

Despite this year’s disappointing news, we hope things open up again for the summer all future veterinarians have the opportunity to explore their dream. Please, stay in touch with us this year by posting your news in our Community section. If you get a chance to work with a veterinarian or volunteer with animals, post your story. It could really help to inspire others.

We plan to be back again next year with another camp contest. We believe in the importance of hands-on experience for future veterinarians and will always be here to encourage and support these activities.
