My animal volunteer experience - Lauren S

I currently volunteer at Bichon and Little Buddies in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. My volunteering consists of completing chores at the shelter, walking dogs, and socializing dogs or puppies that need to develop social skills before being adopted. The shelter is usually filled with a combination of stray dogs and surrendered dogs, and some of the dogs have injuries and may have even been abused. Some are comfortable around people and others are scared. Being able to work with a challenging dog and see them get adopted is the best part of the job!
