I’ve been shadowing Dr. Waite at Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Madison, Alabama, for the past month. I want to be a vet so this has been a great opportunity for me to get volunteer hours. I have observed lots of surgeries including spays, neuters, tumor removals, dew claw removal, teeth extractions, and an emergency surgery on a kitten hit by a car. I also learned about vaccinations and how they are administered. I have really enjoyed my shadowing experiences and look forward to many more!
